Exploration of pure geometric forms (squares, triangles, and circles) and their relationships to each other and within the pictorial space.
This is the idea on which our project is based on. Three simple forms in order to create a multifunctional common space, for people of all ages. Circles are the main form: they include all the scattered existing buildings in order to give them a new functionality; squares or rectangular shapes are the different pavements to give to each open space a different importance and usage; triangles to enclose the main square in order to define the different spaces. The buildings height, the green walls, the trees and the pavements too, they serve to create spaces of different quality like microclimates inside the whole area.
We think that the main important aspect in a public space is the balance between the open spaces, the green spaces and the built spaces. That's why we think about Plaz as a park where architecture serves the green spaces.
The green wall opens the area as the array of trees closes it. The main idea of the project is to connect the land with the sea: a ramp that extends into the sea, a wooden promenade and the direct view on the sea from every micro-area.
